Last week, The Raconteurs performed two consecutive nights on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to support their latest album, Help Us Stranger.
Help Us Stranger was released on June 21 and marks the band’s first studio album since Consolers of the Lonely in 2008. The band performed two songs from the new LP on The Late Show, namely “Help Me Stranger” and “Born and Razed.”
The Raconteurs features singers/guitarists Jack White and Brendan Benson, as well as bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler. “We have a vast amount of genre-pushing songs that bridge the gap between Detroit and Nashville rock and roll,” White has said of the new LP. “The album sounds like a World War. It’s great to be co-writing songs with Brendan Benson again, the man is a song craftsman.”
