After postponing their entire North American tour, The Rolling Stones returned to the stage at Chicago’s Soldier Field on Friday night, kicking off their summer tour and showcasing a newly healthy Mick Jagger, who underwent heart surgery just two months ago.

According to Rolling Stone, Jagger was in good spirits at Soldier Field, joking with the crowd, “The first night is always slightly wobbly.”

Jagger danced his way across the stage through opening tunes like “Street Fighting Man,” “Let’s Spend the Night Together” and “Tumbling Dice,” to ear-splitting cheers from the crowd of 60,000.

From the sentimentality of “Angie” to the devil-may-care vibe of “Sympathy for the Devil” the Stones were clearly feeling frisky on Friday night, savoring every moment onstage.

“Good to be back. Good to be anywhere,” guitarist Keith Richards declared at one point.

They closed their hit-after-hit setlist with “Brown Sugar,” before returning for a two-part encore of “Gimmie Shelter” and “Satisfaction.”
