Preservation Hall Jazz Band have announced they will release their new studio album, A Tuba to Cuba, later this month on June 28 via Sub Pop Records. The effort serves as the soundtrack for the band’s documentary of the same name, which came out earlier this year and chronicles their trip to Cuba to search out the roots of New Orleans music that reside in the island country.

The band also shared a new single from the record, “Keep Your Head Up,” which can be heard below.

“We are so proud and honored to share a project we’ve poured so much of ourselves into,” says bassist/tuba player and band leader Ben Jaffe, calling the collection of tracks “a beautiful conversation” that sounds “like listening to the radio.”

“The impact visiting Cuba had on us will live with us both individually and as a band forever,” Jaffe continues. “We’re still absorbing everything we experienced. We went to Cuba in prayer position. We went to receive an offer at the same time. We had never experienced a moment like this, it felt as though all roads were intersecting at once.”
