Dead & Company played their second of two shows at the scenic Gorge Amphitheatre on Saturday, offering a number of summer tour debuts as well as a classic, set-ending “One More Saturday Night.”
After opening with a spirited “Bertha,” D&C performed their first “Me & My Uncle” of summer tour, which bled into an always-welcome “They Love Each Other.”
Later in the first half, bassist Oteil Burbridge stepped up to sing lead vocals on the summer’s first “Comes A Time.” (Oteil was also sporting some heady facepaint by his wife Jess). After “Throwing Stones,” the band closed the first set with a rocking “Terrapin Station.”
Set two saw a comprehensive “Playing In The Band” jam with a full segue in and out of “Uncle John’s Band.”
From there, Dead & Company jammed through the rest of the set, with “Deal”> “Viola Lee Blues”> “Drums”> “Space”> “The Wheel”> “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall”> “One More Saturday Night.”
They encored their final evening at The Gorge with a sing-along of “Touch of Grey.”
Dead & Company’s next scheduled show will be on June 12 at the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in Noblesville, Ind.

June 10, 2019 at 8:00 pmSo psyched for NY and Camden. They’re sounding great..especially now that they have 4 years under their belts. I just wish the setlists would start having alot more firsts/variation to them. It seems like they’re rehashing the same tunes as the last few years while there’s still so many more to choose from in the Dead canon of original and cover tunes! ✌
