In the spring of 2017, guitarist Scott Sharrard, who acted as bandleader to Gregg Allman’s solo band, took the stage at New York’s Rockwood Music Hall for a intimate solo acoustic tribute to his late band mate, who passed away earlier in the year. Sharrard had just returned from Allman’s funeral in Macon, GA.

Last week, to honor the two-year anniversary of Allman’s passing, Sharrard shared a concert film of that performance, recorded in black and white and produced by Scott Rosenbaum and Red Hawk Films. On Rockwood’s Stage 3, Sharrard shares a collection of Allman’s tunes and classic cuts from the Allman Brothers Band catalog, like “Melissa” and “Whipping Post,” along with stories and memories from his time with the late singer-songwriter.
