On Tuesday evening in Los Angeles, Dead & Company wrapped up their two-night stint at the Hollywood Bowl with a performance that kicked off with a special appearance from a local high school jazz band.
To begin night two of their LA run, Dead & Co. welcomed out the members of the Los Angeles High School Jazz Band, who helped open the night with a rendition of John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme,” which led into the Grateful Dead favorite “Shakedown Street.” The night also featured takes on Dead classics like “Friend of the Devil,” “Brown-Eyed Women,” “Fire on the Mountain,” “Estimated Prophet,” “Truckin’,” “St. Stephen,” “U.S. Blues” and more, plus a “Brokedown Palace” encore.
Check out the setlist below as it appears in our Box Scores section, along with some fan- a pro-shot video from the show. Next up for Dead & Company is another two-night run at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA, starting this Friday, June 7.

June 11, 2019 at 5:21 pmCollectively punching John Mayer in the face repeatedly! Nice! But not physically, of course. We must figure out a way to do this telekinetically. Collective bad vibes are underrated and actually become good vibes when directed properly against something bad.

June 8, 2019 at 6:21 amDear John Kerr,
Shut the fuck up. “The Boys” you claim to have seen in ’67 are only Bobby and Billy (sphincter-monkey Mickey joined the next year to all of our chagrin and remained for 2 years sucking up air and then left after he and his dad ripped off money from the band… and then CAME BACK!!! WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!- GOD IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER IF THAT BLOW-HOLE WAS SENT AWAY, ALAS!) And Bobby and Billy are hardly, merely, barely, and not at all the Grateful Dead. Seriously, just stfu.
