After frontman Stephen Malkmus recently hinted that a Pavement reunion was a “realistic” possibility, the band members have announced that they will be playing their first shows together in nearly a decade at two European festivals in 2020.

Pavement will play the 20th anniversary of Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain, next year (June 4–6), along with Porto, Portugal’s NOS Primavera Sound (June 11–13). The band also added that the two appearances will be their only live shows of 2020.

Pavement originally parted ways in 1999 after their last studio album, Terror Twilight, and reunited for a tour in 2010.
