The String Cheese Incident wrapped up their three-night run at The Capitol Theatre on Monday night, welcoming former Gregg Allman bandleader Scott Sharrard to the stage for a two-song sit-in.

After opening the show with “You’ve Got The World,” SCI closed their first half with Sharrard on a nice pairing of their own “Outside And Inside” with the Allman Brothers’ “Hot’Lanta.” Interestinly, Sharrard first met the SCI gang in 2016 when Gregg Allman was slated to perform an “Incident” at the Peach Music Festival (that set was unfortunatley cancelled due to Allman’s declining health). Sharrard did, however, sit in with the group in August 2018, playing on “Hot’Lanta” as well as “On The Road”> “Southbound.”

“Fun times with [SCI],” Sharrard wrote after his Monday sit-in via Instagram. “What a class act these fellas are, I always have a blast hanging with these guys.”

SCI opened their final set at The Cap by descending into the audience and playing their first acoustic “Dark Hollow” since 2016.

Later, after the band got the crowd into a blissful state with “Joyful Sound”> “Rumble,” and continued on by sandwiching “Walking On The Moon” within “Best Feeling.” That jam was rounded out by “Colliding,” and SCI closed their second set with a stand-alone “Texas.”

The band encored with Peter Gabriel’s “Shaking The Tree.”
