Jeff Austin has cancelled his appearances at this weekend’s Summer Camp Music Festival, citing a family emergency.

Austin was scheduled to perform with his own Jeff Austin Band as well as with 30db, his acoustic project with Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Brendan Bayliss.

According to a post on the Summer Camp Facebook page, Shoe Farmer (Old Shoe and Chicago Farmer) and Lunar Ticks will fill the now-vacant festival slots on Friday and Thursday night, respectively.

Austin posted a simple message to his own page, opening with, “My friends…family comes first.”

Dearest Summer Campers,

Unfortunately, Jeff Austin Band (and 30db) has had to cancel their sets at Summer Camp Music Festival due to a family emergency. But have no fear, we will have some great artist to fill those shoes! We’re excited to have a very special set from Shoe Farmer (Old Shoe and Chicago Farmer) come together to perform on Friday at 1230am in the Soulshine tent! As well, we’ve got Chicago favorites, Lunar Ticks, performing on Thursday at 9pm at Campfire. Can’t wait to see you all soon!
