In a recent news post on his website, Neil Young has confirmed that he has completed the recording of a new studio album from his longtime group Crazy Horse. The untitled album will follow up the band’s 2012 effort, Psychedelic Pill, and Young and his band will be touring in support of the release.

Young writes that the new record, recorded in the Rocky Mountains with guitarist Nils Lofgren, bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina, “stands out as one of the most diverse albums” he’s ever made, and features 11 new tracks that range from lengths of 3 to 14 minutes.

Because of the Crazy Horse album, Young’s previously schedule series of archival releases has been altered. The Crazy Horse release is set for fall 2019.

“Whatever label this brand new Crazy Horse album is on, it will be a proud moment for all involved, something we were not sure we would get to do,” Young writes on his site. “We did it though and it rocks! I am so thankful.”
