The Mountain Jam festival has announced that in addition to a two-hour headlining set, Gov’t Mule will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock with a special tribute performance to the historic event.

Mule is set to perform two set of originals on Friday June 14 and the aforementioned, late-night tribute set is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, June 15.

Considering Mountain Jam’s recent move from its usual home at New York’s Hunter Mountain to Bethel Woods, the original site of Woodstock, the late-night tribute makes perfect sense. There is no word about special guests for Mule’s Woodstock tribute, but with regular collaborators like Lukas Nelson and Phil Lesh on the Mountain Jam bill, who knows what may happen?
