Earlier this week, Ghost Light celebrated the release of their first studio album by recreating Best Kept Secrets in its entirety, almost a year after the band performed their first gig.
The St. Paul, Minn. gig kicked off with a jam through “Elegy”> “Don’t Come Apart”> “Swimming at Night” with the middle tune containing a tease of the album’s final track “Best Kept Secret.”
Later, during the second half, the band offered a massive “Keep Your Hands To Yourself” segment that made its way in and out of other tracks like “Afraid” and “Simple Song” before finally landing on the band’s first-ever “If Only, For Now.” (Drummer Scotty Zwang also stepped out from behind his kit to play extra keys alongside Holly Bowling on that last track.)
The jams continued through an oscillating “Doorway to a Silent Chamber> Weight of the World> Doorway to a Silent Chamber” offering and closed with “Best Kept Secret.”
The band encored with American Babies’ cut “Winter War Games.”
