After originating the concept with a few Canadian gigs, The Barr Brothers will carry their “An Album Nightly” format into the US, recreating their three studio LPs in San Francisco.

The three-concert set is scheduled from June 5-7 at The Independent, and they will include performances of 2011’s The Barr Brothers, 2014’s Sleeping Operator and 2017’s Queen of the Breakers.

“Nostalgia, as a loose rule, is generally an impulse we try to avoid, or at least rely on sparingly,” the band wrote via press release. “But when the reality sets in that a decade’s worth of music has gone down on our watch, and to have seen it unfold with the help of our amazing family of musicians and the support of such a giving audience as yourselves, we feel it’s a good time to look back and acknowledge the path we’ve traveled. With that in mind, we’ve decided to perform our three LPs in their entirety, chronologically, on three consecutive evenings. It’s gonna be a marathon…we hope you can make it for some of it, if not all of it!”

According to the band, tickets for the “An Album Nightly” gigs will go on sale Friday, March 22 at TheBarrBrothers.com.
