Tonight, guitarist and former Gregg Allman Band musical director Scott Sharrard will host the first of two celebrations of the Allman Brothers Band’s legendary album Live at Fillmore East at Brooklyn Bowl, and Sharrard has announced that he will be joined by special guests Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires for the occasion.

“I first had the chance to meet Amanda Shires when she joined the Gregg Allman Band as our opening act,” Sharrard explains. “Eventually, her husband Jason Isbell joined her on guitar at an unforgettable night we had at the Ryman in Nashville. Amanda can play the hell out of a Texas fiddle and sing in a style that updates the Dolly sound. And Jason is simply one of the best singer-songwriters and guitarists around. Such a treat to have Amanda and Jason as guests at the ‘Live at Fillmore East’ show to help us celebrate the southern rock and blues sound.”

Tonight’s Brooklyn Bowl show will also feature founding ABB drummer Jaimoe, drummer Rich Pagano and guitarist Tash Neal. Tickets can be purchased here. Sharrard and company will then take the Fillmore East celebration to Pennsylvania’s Ardmore Music Hall this Friday, March 15.
