Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins has announced he will be playing a free solo show in the Chicago suburbs this weekend. The performance will take place at La Grange Park, IL’s Plymouth Place, a nonprofit retirement community where Cummins parents used to reside.

Cummins notes that the solo showing, set for Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m., will be open to the public, but asks that fans “let the residents sit up front.” The keyboardist will also be playing a more formal solo show at Chicago’s Tonic Room on Sunday evening. Umphrey’s are playing a two-night run in nearby Detroit this weekend before heading out to the West Coast next week.
