Phil Lesh has added a spring date to his 2019 schedule, when the Grateful Dead bassist will welcome a yet-to-be-announced group of Friends.
Lesh and company will play The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on May 4. Tickets for the performance go on sale this Friday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
Lesh also announced today that he will be joining the Studio 54 tribute at his Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, CA, next week. The bassist will also be playing TXR with The Terrapin Family Band on Feb. 28.

February 24, 2019 at 1:42 pmI have a hard time with fuck phil and jill. I love Phil and dont know Jill. Dead and Company play the jams sooooo slowly that if it’s creative differences that keep Phil away then so be it. Just say it Phil; dont blame it on the touring excuse / cop out.

February 22, 2019 at 11:01 amJust continues to be sad that Phil loves to play and tour but his controlling ego wouldn’t allow Furthur to continue. It was the best of all worlds musically with Bobby and Phil and appropriately sized venues and great crowds. Stadium corporate Dead & Co is horrible and the “Friends” don’t replace Bobby. Fuck Phil & Jill!

February 20, 2019 at 7:55 pmIt’s kinda annoying w Phil playing all these travel shows but not playing as the dead due to not wanting to travel. Life is short just play some more shows with trey and company. Sheesh.

February 21, 2019 at 2:04 pmWhat did they say about Fare Thee Well? That was to be it. I actually like the “friends” thing way better. Much more adventurous then retread Dead & Co though I know they are popular and have done a few. Why Dead & Co when we all access to such high quality full original Dead shows.”Friends” & Russo fill my needs for live experimental Dead experience. Do I like all ‘friends line-ups? No
