On May 3, the second Friday of this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, a number of musicians will come together for a “NOLA 50” celebration honoring the music of the Crescent City and coinciding with the 50th year of Jazz Fest.

Set to play the event are legendary Meters bassist George Porter Jr., Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan and Ian Neville plus their bandmate Alvin Ford Jr., trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom and his Lettuce bandmate and guitarist Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff, singer/guitarist Walter “Wolfman” Washington, saxophonist Skerik and more.
