Held at Upstate NY’s Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the 42nd annual Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival will feature George Benson, Trombone Shorty, Norah Jones and more.
The event is scheduled for June 29 and 30, and the full roster includes 22 performers, from various corners of the music world.
“This year’s festival will excite long-time jazz lovers, while also continuing SPAC’s expanded vision to bring innovative artists and legends that have never before graced our stage, including a record number of female-led groups,” Saratoga Performing Arts Center President/CEO Elizabeth Sobol explained in a statement. “Devoted jazz festival fans and lovers of great music are in for a completely unique experience this summer, enhanced by the incredible atmosphere and unmatched beauty of our natural park setting.”
In addition to returning favorites like Benson and Trombone Shorty, the event will also welcome 15 newcomers, who will make their Saratoga debuts this year (first-time Saratoga Jazz Fest performers are marked with asterisks below).
It’s worth noting that in order to encourage young people in the area, the event will offer $20 student and child amphitheater passes. Children aged 15 and under will be admitted free on the lawn.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. ET. However, SPAC members will have access starting Feb. 4 at 10 a.m.

February 1, 2019 at 8:16 amThanks for the coverage. The “Jazz Discovery Stage” listings are incorrect – you have Sunday’s line-up listed on Saturday and Saturday’s line-up listed on Saturday. Best – Danny Melnick, festival producer.
