On New Year’s Eve at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong delivered a special “New Year’s stEve” performance that featured a number of debut covers following the “Steve” theme and some special guests like the West End Blend horns and Magic Beans’ Casey Russell. The band recently shared some pro-shot video from the evening that chronicles a run of tunes in the first set.

In the new video, which can be seen below, PPPP start out on their own “Whoopie” before taking on Stevie Wonder tunes “I Wish” and “Master Blaster,” both debuts for the group. Also included in the “Steve”-themed setlist were songs from Aerosmith (Steven Tyler), Traffic (Steve Winwood), Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple (Steve Morse), Steve Miller Band and Stevie Ray Vaughan. The band raised around $3000 during the night for the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, which was attacked by a shooter this past October.
