As fans continue to debate which night of Phish’s New Year’s Run was the best, many have been pointing to Dec. 29’s “Tweezer”> “Death Don’t Hurt Very Long”> “Tweezer” as the run’s standout moment. It seems that the band feels similarly, as it was one of the first pro-shot videos to be shared last week on the Phish YouTube page.
The set-two monster jam – which you can watch below – came after a surprising “Corinna” bustout (last played 12/28/16) and offered the first performance of Kasvot Växt’s “Death Don’t Hurt Very Long” outside of its Halloween debut.
Clocking in at over 30 minutes, it’s an impressive exploration of a Phish classic and a brand new favorite.
