Axl Rose has emerged with his first new music in a decade, though probably not in the way fans might expect, as the iconic Guns N’ Roses frontman has teamed up with the animated series New Looney Tunes for “Rock the Rock.”
The new tune, Rose’s first since he finally released the notoriously delayed GNR album Chinese Democracy in 2008, will appear in an episode of the classic cartoon’s reboot, which streams on online platform Boomerang. As Consequence of Sound reports, Rose guest stars in the episode as the leader of the band Steel Underpants, but quickly has to join forces with Bugs Bunny and company to defeat an asteroid headed for Earth. Naturally, Rose’s plan is to “rock the rock” out of the sky with a song that recalls some classic AC/DC swagger (Rose fronted that band back in 2016 after Brian Johnson was forced off the road due to hearing issues).
No information is given regarding who made up the backing band for “Rock the Rock,” but the full song can be heard in the New Looney Tunes scene in the video posted by Boomerang below.

January 6, 2019 at 3:09 pmI say, I say, boy you’re doing it all wrong! You’re suppose to be collaborating with Izzy, Slash and rest of the bunch who wrote some of the greatest rock songs ever. WTF Axl, I named my son after you!
