The Disco Biscuits debuted “Haleakala Crater” at Wetlands Preserve on 8/11/99. The song later appeared on their 2001 album, They Missed The Perfume, before the group shelved it in late 2004. Last night at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, just over 14 years since the song last appeared on a Biscuits setlist (12/27/04 at the Palace Theatre in Albany), the group performed the tune once again. This bustout closed out the second set. The band preceded it with its version of Tchaikovsky’s “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy,” which has long been a staple of the group’s New Year’s Eve runs.
The Biscuits return to the Fillmore this evening and will stream the show live through their YouTube channel.
