As Christmas rapidly approaches, many are still recovering from Matisyahu’s final Festival of Lights which took place on Dec. 6 at New York’s Brooklyn Steel.

The Festival of Light founder welcomed The Soul Rebels and producer-musician GRiZ to the stage throughout the show.

First, The Soul Rebels warmed the crowd up with their brand of NOLA brass and, later, the collective sat in with Matisyahu for his hit “King Without A Crown” as well as “Watch The Walls Melt Down” off his 2014 LP Akeda. “Coming together as a community to celebrate and support each other is what this time of year is about,” The Soul Rebels said of the collaboration in a press release.

Later, GRiZ joined the party for a version of his own “Gotta Push On.” The future-funk artist also added his trademark saxophone to Matisyahu’s hope-filled anthem “One Day.”

“Thank you to everyone who came out and blessed @brooklynsteel last night- special thanks to @thesoulrebels and @griz , honored to share a stage and spread the peace,” Matisyahu wrote afterwards via Instagram.

Interestingly, it appears Matisyahu and GRiZ will be collaborating more often. The week after the Festival of Light, Matisyahu returned the favor and sat in with GRiZ for his annual Grizmas celebration in Detroit. “Can’t wait for you guys to hear our song together,” Matisyau later wrote.
