Tedeschi Trucks Band have announced the initial dates for their fifth annual Wheels of Soul summer tour, which continues the group’s collaborative outing with guest bands Blackberry Smoke and Shovels & Rope.
The 2019 WOS dates kick off in TTB’s hometown of Jacksonville, FL, on June 28 and also include a return to Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre July 26–27, along with stops in Charleston, SC, Saratoga Springs, NY, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, St. Louis and more, wrapping up with a two-night run at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre August 2–3.
“The motivation and, really, the fun of Wheels of Soul is that we get to bring that spirit of musical camaraderie to a summer crowd,” says guitarist Derek Trucks. “Traveling, being outside, playing music with friends new and old. We love the limitless energy of this tour.”
See the Wheels of Soul tour schedule below, with more dates to be added. Most of the shows go on sale this Friday, December 14, except for the Florida dates in Boca Raton and St. Petersburg, which go on sale December 19. More information can be found at TTB’s website.

December 11, 2018 at 2:54 pmDefinitely hope they add an MA or CT date before NH or after NY. 3 day gap on both sides. Hit the three night stand in Boston this month and they were on fire! Would love to see a show over the summer. Blue Hills Bank Pavillion would be a good venue for his tour. They went a little big venue wise last summer IMO. Shovels and Rope is cool from the cpl Songs I’ve heard. BlackBerry Smoke I’m pretty unfamiliar with but have heard good things.

December 10, 2018 at 4:20 pmI see your point but they do play the Beacon on residency. I’m not sure they really ignore the Northeast hard. Good to see some other towns getting in on the actions.
