This past weekend, Tedeschi Trucks Band wrapped up their 2018 touring slate with a three-night stand at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, and the band marked the occasion by welcoming a couple of special guests, both of whom offered some extra bass to the performances.

On Thursday, bassist Franher Joseph of Delta Moon sat in for regular TTB bassist Tim Lefebvre on four tunes, “Midnight in Harlem,” “Laugh About It,” a cover of “How Blue Can You Get?” and “I Want More.” The night also closed out with an encore of TTB’s Sly & The Family Stone medley, “Sing a Simple Song” and “I Want to Take You Higher.”

For Friday and Saturday’s Orpheum shows, Tedeschi Trucks Band welcomed bassist Evan Sarver for four songs each night. First up were Bobby Bland’s “I Pity the Fool,” TTB’s “Made Up Mind,” “High & Mighty” and Derek and the Dominoes’ “Keep On Growing” on Friday, followed by “It’s So Heavy,” “Leaving Trunk,” “Laugh About It” and “I Want More” on Saturday.
