Mumford & Sons have been forced to postpone a handful of upcoming UK shows, the band announced yesterday in a statement, citing “unforeseen technical and logistical challenges” owing to the ambitious nature of their stage show in support of brand-new album Delta.

“As we also hope you know by now, we never postpone shows lightly, in fact it’s something we try to avoid at all costs – so this decision has been incredibly difficult to make but in this case we have no other choice,” the statement reads. “The truth is that it is simply not humanly possible to play these particular shows at this time and we are sorry the reality of that only truly landed after we completed Belfast yesterday.”

The affected shows were scheduled in Liverpool, Cardiff, Sheffield and Manchester, and all four will be rescheduled for to-be-announced dates in 2019. Tickets to the original shows will be honored at the new dates, and refunds are available at point of purchase.
