Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced that their Dec. 31 gig in Pittsburgh will be dubbed “New Year’s stEve,” and pay tribute to the one and only Stevie Wonder.

The band had previously announced four shows leading up to 2019, including two shows in Nashville on Dec. 27-28 and a gig in Covington, Ky. on Dec. 29. However, PPPP notes that only Dec. 31 at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE will have the Stevie Wonder theme.

In the past, Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” has occasionally popped up in PPPP setlists and, certainly, the band’s funk sensibility will match Wonder’s discography quite well.
