Next month, Rough Trade NYC will host an all-star concert in memory of Richard Swift, the late, prolific producer and musician who passed away this past July. The event will feature several of Swift’s friends and collaborators, including Nathaniel Rateliff, Marco Benevento and My Morning Jacket’s Patrick Hallahan and Tom Blankenship.

Also set to join the tribute’s lineup are The Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser, Valerie June, Dr. Dog’s Eric Slick, Cults, Jessie Baylin, Sam Cohen, Deep Sea Diver and Elizabeth Ziman. Multi-instrumentalist Leon Michels, who worked with Swift and was his bandmate in Dan Auerbach’s The Arcs, will offer a DJ set.

“A Tribute to Richard Swift” is set for December 9 at Rough Trade. Tickets and more information can be found here.

In the current cover story of Relix, Rateliff shares his thoughts on Swift—who produced both of Rateliff’s recent albums with The Night Sweats—saying, “It’s always weird when you meet a producer, but we hit it off immediately and were cracking jokes. He was charming—one of the funniest people I’ve known.” Rateliff also posted a heartfelt remembrance on Instagram after Swift’s passing, writing, “My eyes only open to cry. My ears only listen for your voice and the sound of your laughter filling the room. My mouth opens only to release a song that is your name. My heart is forever broken. Richard, I will miss you for a lifetime. Good night my friend, may you find rest.”
