On Jan. 12, Mickey Hart, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Osborne and the duo of Pura Fe and Cary Marin will perform at Oakland, Calif.’s Fox Theatre for “Sing Out For Seva.”

The event will celebrate the Seva Foundation’s 40th anniversary. According to their website, Seva “is a global nonprofit eye care organization that transforms lives and strengthens communities by restoring sight and preventing blindness.” To date, they have helped 4 million blind people regain their sight in more than 20 countries.

Special guests are teased on the Jan. 12 bill, and Hart himself will be joined by a few mystery “Friends.”

The festivities will be hosted by Dead scenester/Seva co-founder Wavy Gravy, and pre-sale tickets will be available starting Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. with the password SEVA40.

Ticketing links and more information will be posted to the Seva website in the coming days.
