The String Cheese Incident helped kick off this year’s Suwannee Hulaween weekend in Live Oak, FL, on Friday night, delivering their first of three performance at the fall festival and welcoming out special guest Rayland Baxter in the process.

Baxter’s sit in got started three songs into last night’s first set, when String Cheese brought out the Nashville-based singer-songwriter for the live debut of the newest tune to come out of the SCI Sound Vault, “Gone Crooked,” which was lead by bassist Keith Moseley. When the band premiered the new studio single last week, Moseley explained that it came out of a collaborative songwriting session in Nashville with Baxter and Cage the Elephant’s Nick Bockrath. Moseley also expressed his appreciation for Baxter’s latest album, Wide Awake, and String Cheese backed that up last night by keeping Baxter onstage for a cover of his tune “Hey Larocco” from that same album.

String Cheese return to Live Oak’s Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park today for a three-set performance that will be streamed live via SiriusXM’s Jam On channel, starting at 4:30pm ET.
