Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann recently posted a throwback photo on his Facebook page and teased his plans for this upcoming New Year’s Eve, which will seemingly find Kreutzmann teaming up with a band for a special concert.
“New Year’s Eve brings back memories of pulling off pranks and partying late into the night with the Grateful Dead during our many NYE shows over the years,” Kreutzmann writes, captioning a photo of him playing with Rooster Conspiracy (featuring guitarist Eric Krasno, bassist Reed Mathis and keyboardist Todd Stoops) on New Year’s Day 2017. “More recently, I’ve been celebrating NYE at home in Hawaii, playing music with various friends and kicking back with my island ohana (“family”) in our little corner of paradise. Want to join the party? Stay tuned!”
To ring in 2017, Kreutzmann teamed up with Rooster Conspiracy and more, even welcoming his longtime bandmate Bob Weir during the Hawaii performance. Watch a video of Rooster Conspiracy jamming together in early 2017 below, and stay tuned for any announcement Kreutzmann might make about his NYE 2018 plans.

October 28, 2018 at 4:54 pmBand gonna be bob weir, robin sylvester steve kimock and billy. Prices are 300 dollars. The folks throwing it have expressed they dont want deadheads there. Barlow who was always keeping bobby and the dead on the spiritual up and up has been sick for three years and now is dead. Bobby is now surrounded with rich folks who never saw the dead before it was called the dead. Lets still dance dont let the elite take away our party.
