Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Steve Gunn has announced his fourth studio album, The Unseen In Between, set for release on January 18 via Matador records, and has shared the first single off the effort, “New Moon.”

The new record was produced by Gunn’s collaborator James Elkington and promises to explore a range of characters, including Gunn himself, with songs inspired by and revolving around the 2016 death of Gunn’s father, a bodega owner and his cat, a New Mexico art installation and more.
