Atlanta’s Sweetwater 420 Fest has revealed its initial lineup featuring two nights (four sets) of Widespread Panic as well as performances by The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Rebelution and Moon Taxi.

The festival is scheduled for April 19-21, 2019 in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park, and this year will mark Widespread Panic’s return to the festival after being absent from the 2018 lineup. “They are probably the most requested band we have,” Jennifer Bensch, president of Happy Ending Productions, said of WSP. “We wouldn’t normally bring a band back so soon if it didn’t resonate with our patrons. But people are who avid Panic followers will go and see [several] nights of them in a row, so it lends itself in doing that in a festival scene.”

Les Claypool and Sean Lennon’s Claypool Lennon Delirium project will also be making an appearance, as will Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass, John Medeski’s Mad Skillet, Turkuaz and Knower.

Over 45 acts are still to be announced for the fest’s 15th anniversary edition and, of course, there will be plenty of Sweetwater beer on tap all weekend.
