Percussionist Marc Quiñones, who played with The Allman Brothers Band from 1991 until their final shows in 2014, recently teamed up with his former ABB collaborators Derek Trucks and Oteil Burbridge for a new version of Gregg Allman’s classic “Midnight Rider” as a tribute to the legendary group.

The new version of the tune, which was recorded at Trucks and Susan Tedeschi’s home studio in Jacksonville, FL, features Quiñones offering a slightly new take on lead vocals and percussion, with Trucks and Burbridge filling in the familiar guitar and bass lines.

The song was produced by Quiñones and Tony Succar, who shared a video of the session on his YouTube channel. Watch below.
