The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has revealed the list of 15 nominees for induction at the 2019 ceremony in March. Included in the eligible artists are newcomers John Prine, Stevie Nicks, Def Leppard, Devo, Todd Rundgren and Roxy Music.
Rounding out the list are returning nominees Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, The Cure, Kraftwerk, Janet Jackson, MC5, The Zombies, Rufus & Chaka Khan and LL Cool J. To be eligible for the ballot, artists must have released their first “commercial recording” at least 25 years before the nomination year.
More than 1000 artists, historians and members of music industry will vote on the nominees, and the RRHoF will again be inviting fans to add to the voting process. Those interested in chiming in can cast their ballot here through December 9. The top five fan-selected artists’ votes will be counted along with the other ballots.
The list of 2019 inductees will be revealed in December, and the Induction Ceremony will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center on March 29 and broadcast on HBO, with a simulcast on SiriusXM channel 310.
