After being forced to postpone the event due to inclement weather back in March, Brooklyn Bowl will host a rescheduled performance from “The Nifty 50 All-Stars” next month, led by legendary Meters bassist George Porter Jr. and his band Runnin’ Pardners, which features drummer Terrence Houston, keyboardist Michael Lemmler and newcomer Chris Adkins on guitar.

The event, which will belatedly celebrate the birthday of photographer Marc Millman, is also doubling as a benefit show that will raise money for HeadCount and NOLA music education non-profit The Roots of Music. The evening’s lineup will also include New Orleans singer-songwriter Eric Lindell, Aaron Comess of Spin Doctors, saxophonist and keyboardist Craig Dreyer and vocalist Kendra Morris, along with more special guests to be announced.

The Nifty 50 All-Stars “Remix” will take place at Brooklyn Bowl on November 13. Tickets and more information can be found here. Those who purchased tickets to the original March 21 show and did not request refunds will be able to use proof of purchase to attend the new event.
