Illinois auction house Donley Auctions has announced an upcoming event that will offer a number of rare Grateful Dead memorabilia found in the residencies of longtime employees of the band, including instruments, signed posters, gold records, original art and much more.

Some of the top items featured in the auction, which will take place early next month, include a duster overcoat worn by members of the Dead during the “Throwing Stones” music video, personal (cancelled) checks signed by Jerry Garcia, a Rolodex of phone numbers that belonged to Garcia and a Fender Stratocaster Squire guitar signed by Bob Weir.

Also included in the auction’s expansive collection are original pieces of artwork by Garcia and Dead artist Stanley “Mouse” Miller, various items of Dead merchandise from throughout the years, concert handbills—even LSD blotter paper (sans LSD). See a full list of the items here.

The collection was taken from the belongings of former Dead employees Annette Flowers and Sue Stephens, and staff member Len Dell’Amico. See photos of some of the items below.

Donley Auctions will host a preview event for the auction items at their headquarters in Union, IL, on September 7 from noon to 8pm before the auction goes live at 10am CST on September 8. Those interested can bid online or in person.
