Dave Matthews Band welcomed old friend Robert Randolph to the stage for a single-song sit-in on Wednesday night at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center.

Earlier in the evening, the band opened with the Come Tomorrow track “Do You Remember” followed by Under The Table and Dreaming‘s “Lover Lay Down.”

Other highlights included live staples like “#41” and a rockin’ “All Along The Watchtower” as well as more Come Tomorrow offerings like a double dose of “That Girl Is You” and “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin).”

Following the final Come Tomorrow track of the night (“Can’t Stop”), Randolph came out to play some sacred steel on “Corn Bread.” This performance marked the 43rd time pedal steel guitarist has guested with Matthews, the first being at Madison Square Garden on 5/29/02 and the most recent being on 2/3/2018, where he filled in for Boyd Tinsley following his sudden departure from the band.

Three songs followed Randolph’s appearance, notably “The Space Between,” “Why I Am” and a set-closing “Tripping Billies.”

The band encored their final New Jersey performance of Summer 2018 with “Grey Street.”
