Billed as “the ultimate tailgate at sea,” the Southern Rock Cruise has welcomed Dickey Betts onto their 2018 lineup alongside Lynryd Skynyrd, Blackberry Smoke and more.

The seafaring rock festival – scheduled for January 6-12 – will bring music fans from Tampa, Florida to Cozumel, Mexico to Progreso, Mexico and back. This performance marks Betts’ first official tour date of 2019.

The Allman Brothers co-founder is in the midst of his first onstage appearances since 2014, backed by his son, guitarist Duane as well as guitarist Damon Fowler—a former member of ABB founding drummer Butch Trucks’ The Freight Train Band—keyboardist Mike Kach, bassist Pedro Arevalo and drummers Frankie Lombardi and Steve Camilleri.
