On Saturday, June 16, Phish drummer Jon Fishman will join Chris Martin (guitar), John Kasiewicz (bass) and his longtime friend J. Willis Pratt for a benefit concert, raising funds to help Pratt beat cancer.
The show will be held at the Haybarn Theatre at Goddard College, Fishman and Willis’ old stomping grounds, where they met and became lifelong friends.
Even after Fishman experienced breakout success with Phish, he remained close with Pratt, following through on a promise and inviting J. Willis Pratt & We’re Bionic to open for Phish in Albany on December 12, 1997. Fishman provided some instrumentation and production on Pratt’s album Lost Paradox, and as recently as 2013 and 2015 the two shared a stage in Vermont.
At the June 16 benefit, donations will be collected in Pratt’s name.
