LA’s Grateful Shred will bring their version of the Grateful Dead songbook to seven cities this July, for their first-ever tour of the East Coast.
To celebrate, the band has shared an exclusive music video for “The Music Never Stopped,” serving up a healthy serving of California chill.
“It’s more of a ‘take’ on the Dead than a tribute band,” bassist Dan Horne explains in an official statement. “We end up sounding almost more like the Dead because we approach it in this free-spirited way; in other bands, they’ve got the perfect tones dialed in, they practice the drum parts, they’ve got their ‘Jerry.’ We just play.”
The tour, which is presented by Relix, will also feature supporting acts Mapache and Howlin Rain.
Presale for Grateful Shred’s East Coast Tour will start Wednesday April 25, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET with promocode “RELIXSHRED.”
General onsale will start at 10 a.m. on April 27.
