The second annual Relix Live Music Conference will take place at Brooklyn Bowl on May 8 and 9, and the event will offer two full days of panels and discussions covering various facets of the live music business. After announcing the first round of panels covering topics like festivals, touring, album cycles and more, RLMC has now revealed another batch of offerings, including the daily presentations and four more panels on activism, livestreaming, talent buying and the art of agenting.

See what the conference has in store below, along with the newly released schedule for the two-day event. More panels and activities around the conference are yet to be announced, so keep up with all Relix Live Music Conference updates at their website. Tickets are still available here.

Daily Presentations:

This year’s conference features an array of presentations from various sections of the live music industry, starting with Brendan Sheehan of summer festival mainstays Mr. B’s, HUB Entertainment Insurance’s Cameron Smith and Amy Striem of family-focused concert series The Rock and Roll Playhouse, who will present on day one, with day two featuring CD Baby’s Jon Bahr, DoStuff Media’s Scott Owens and TourTech’s Allen Cook and Jeremy Rollinson.

Agenting:

Dealing with artists can be a tricky business, but it’s those relationships that fuel the careers of agents and band alike. Live Nation’s Jason Miller will delve into various ways to get the best outcome for everyone with Paradigm Talent Agency’s Lynn Cingari, Higher Ground Presents’ Alex Crothers, Paradigm Talent Agency’s Mike Greisch and Partisan Arts’ Hank Sacks.

Activism with Ben & Jerry’s:

Ben & Jerry’s longtime dedication to social activism—along with their connections to the music scene—have made them a respected entity for decades. B&J’s Global Marketing Manager Jay Curley will sit down with one of his US team members Brodie O’Brien, HeadCount founder Andy Bernstein and Beth Montouri Rowles of Phish’s WaterWheel organization to discuss doing good while doing well in the live music business.

Talent Buying:

Talent buyers curate the concert schedules for your favorite venues, making them some of the most sought-after local contacts in the industry. Brooklyn Bowl’s own Lucas Sacks will delve into different approaches to the profession with Johnny Beach from The Bowery Presents, Randy Henner from Metamorphic Concerts & Management, Darren Pfeffer of The Madison Square Garden Company, Keith Sheldon of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment and Z2 Entertainment’s David Weingarden.

Livestreaming:

Streaming concerts live may be the future (and even the present) of live music, but it’s still an excitingly new prospect for many acts. Dayglo Ventures’ Jonathan Healey discusses the ins and outs of webcasts with Ted Katzman from YouTube and Google Play Music, JamBase’s David Onigman, TourGigs’ Jake Saxbe and Brad Serling of nugs.net.
