Before they return to Brooklyn Bowl later this week in support of The Mallet Brothers Band’s show featuring Phish drummer Jon Fishman this week, Brooklyn-based outfit Escaper have shared a pro-shot live video of their tune “Rare Form” from the band’s last trip to the venue.

Guitarist Will Hanza introduces the song with the words “We’ve all been there; I don’t need to explain what that means.” Propelled by saxophonist Johnny Butler and newly acquired drummer Wayan Zoey, the group then launches into a prime example of what they call their “psychedelic space rock,” with extended solos from Hanza and keyboardist Phil Kadet. Watch below.

Escaper will open for The Mallett Brothers Band and Fishman this Thursday, April 12 (head here for information on a free live stream of the show), before heading out on a run of Northeast tour dates next month, hitting stops in Philadelphia, New Haven, CT, and more throughout the month and wrapping up with June 8 slot at Disc Jam in Stephentown, NY.
