Wednesday night, String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth led his solo band in a co-headlining show with Big Something as part of Brooklyn Bowl’s launch party for the Ground Score IPA, a new beer collaboration between Hollingsworth, Relix and Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewery.

After opening up the night with an onstage discussion featuring Hollingsworth and his collaborators—SweetWater head brewer Nick Nock, Crosby Hop Farm’s Zak Schroerlucke and Relix editor Dean Budnick—Big Something hit the stage for a set that featured special guest DJ Logic for many of the tunes, including a cover of David Bowie’s “Fame,” along with Hollingsworth himself, who joined in for the final tune, “Amanda Lynn.”

DJ Logic, who is featured on Hollingsworth’s new record 50 as well as Big Something’s Truth Serum, was somewhat of an artist-at-large on Wednesday night sitting in with both acts.

Hollingsworth took the stage around 10 p.m., playing covers of the Grateful Dead’s “Deal,” Pink Floyd’s “One of These Days” and Cake’s “Short Skirt, Long Jacket,” and some cuts from the String Cheese repertoire like “Let’s Go Outside” and “Rosie.”
