Chris Robinson Brotherhood brought their tour to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, last night, and the band punctuated the night with their debut of a John Lennon classic.

Before the show, Robinson sat down for a Friday Night Jam conversation with Rabbi Dan Ain and Relix co-editor-in-chief Mike Greenhaus in which the singer spoke on his interfaith Atlanta family, his decision to leave the Black Crowes in favor of playing with CRB and the spiritual nature of his music.

Last night’s show was filled with several tunes from the CRB’s newest album, Barefoot in the Head, along with covers of Roy Orbison, Waylon Jennings and more, plus a throwback to Robinson’s Black Crowes days with “I Ain’t Hiding.” The evening was closed out with an encore of Lennon’s “Watching the Wheels” from his 1980 album Double Fantasy.
