Metallica and Dave Matthews, along with G-Eazy, will headline a major fundraising benefit for the Bay Area with a show at AT&T Park on November 9.

The show will benefit the recovery efforts of the fires that recently swept through the area. The event, dubbed Band Together Bay Area, has already collected $6.5 million and all proceeds, including the Ticketmaster processing fees, will go to the North Bay Fire Relief fund which includes a number of organizations.

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett also noted that his home was nearly affected by the fires. “The fire ends right on top my house,” Hammett said. “The reality is that it ended at my front gate. It’s brutal. The mental and psychological toll it what I always think about.”

More acts are expected to join the bill.
