Eight artists will come together this October for an eight-city run as Joan Baez, Dave Matthews, Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, Lila Downs, The Mastersons and Alynda Segarra will headline Lampedusa: Concerts for Refugees.

The run kicks off October 3 at the Moore Theatre in Seattle and continues with stops in Portland (October 4), San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (October 8), Los Angeles (October 10), Tucson (October 12), Albuquerque (October 13), El Paso (October 14) and a finale in Dallas (October 15). The gig at Hardly Strictly will be webcast and archived for rebroadcast.

Last year, Lampedusa recruited the likes of Robert Plant, Daniel Lanois and others for an eleven-city run. The tour aims to raise awareness and money to support expanded educational opportunities for displaced people through Jesuit Refugee Service’s Global Education Initiative.
