On Thursday night, Jamie McLean Band opened for “Robert Randolph & The Family Band’:http://www.robertrandolph.net/ at Ridgefield, CT’s Ridgefield Playhouse. Halfway through Randolph’s headlining set, Jamie McLean took the stage to play guitar on a cover The Band’s “Up On Cripple Creek.” The two guitarists traded solos throughout the song until Randolph helped to removed a broken guitar string from McLean’s axe.

Jamie McLean Band recently released “Virginia,” a single from their new album. Proceeds from the single will help fight the discrimination and hatred Charlottesville, VA recently experienced. Jamie McLean Band returns to the area for a set in Industry City Brooklyn for the Sunset Sound Series on September 7 while RRFB will perform at Snowshoe, WV’s Showshoe Mountain Resort on Thursday.
