On August 5, a group of musicians that includes former tour mates of Gregg Allman will play a special tribute concert to honor the late singer, songwriter, keyboardist and Allman Brothers Band founder at “Laying it Back One More Time” in Avondale Estates, GA.

Heading up the event’s lineup are Tommy Talton, Scott Boyer and Bill Stewart, all of whom joined Allman on his first solo outing in support of his debut solo album, 1973’s Laid Back. The trio will be joined by Mike Veal, Jack Hall, Kelvin Holly, Tommy Vickery, Tom Grose and Chris Blackwell for the tribute.

A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to the Gregg Allman Music Scholarship Endowment at the University of Georgia’s Hodgson School of Music.

Laying it Back One More Time will take place at Avondale Towne Cinema on August 5. Tickets can be purchased at the venue’s website.
