Tedeschi Trucks Band brought the 2017 edition of their Wheels of Soul Tour to Vienna, VA’s Wolf Trap last night, continuing their summer tour tradition of welcoming guests from their opening acts and tour mates, as the band jammed with members of Hot Tuna and The Wood Brothers during the show.

As JamBase reports, the guest spots began late in TTB’s set, when the headlining act brought out Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane bandmates Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady for a run of “Key to the Highway. After the set closed with a cover of the Allman Brothers Band’s “Whipping Post,” TTB returned to the stage for a two-song encore, beginning with a cover of Leon Russell’s “A Song For You,” featuring a duet of Susan Tedeschi and keyboardist Carey Frank, who is sitting in for the recovering Kofi Burbridge. The night then rounded out with a cover of Bob Dylan’s “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” with Wood Brothers’ Oliver and Chris Wood and Jano Rix.
